This 1.4 mile loop through Enchantment and Waterfront Park combines the Bear Trail, River Trail, Channel Trail and Enchantment Trail to from an easy and scenic short hike. The hike is nestled between the charming Bavarian-styled village of Leavenworth, and the Wenatchee River. It is perfect for families with small children, or anyone looking for a gentle stroll with scenic views and river access.

Begin from the large parking area at Enchantment Park. You’ll walk past the park’s sports facilities including a baseball and soccer field as you start the hike. The Bear Trail then curves around and begins to parallel the river. There are a handful of spots to stop and enjoy the scenic Wenatchee River including Deer Beach and Rafters Beach. You’ll also pass Blackbird Island Pond.

Next, take a right and cross over the Blackbird Island Channel via footbridge. You’re now on the island. One of the best river access spots is right after the footbridge - Hot Sand Beach.

Continue along what is now the River Trail as it loops around the island and turns into the Channel Trail before returning back to the initial footbridge.

Cross the bridge again and stay right to take the Enchantment Trail back to the parking lot where you first began.
