This small campground attached to the Log Cabin Resort may be a good choice if you are seeing the area by RV and find no vacancy in the assortment of cabins and rooms that the resort offers. Tent campers may feel a little squeezed here, though there are eight sites without hookups that are well-suited to tents. The remaining 18 sites have full hookups, and thus the campground tends to feel a bit more like an RV solution; as such, many of the sites are densely configured, and there is little in the way of landscaping or barriers between sites.
Guests at this campground have plenty in the way of amenities, however. Individual sites have picnic tables and fire rings, and some get shade from nearby trees. The lodge boasts a deli, restaurant, and general store, and you can also rent rowboats and kayaks for some time on the water. The resort location on the north shore of an east bay means that you may avoid some of the wind that picks up at campsites on the west end of the lake. Campground users have access to a dedicated restroom and shower facility, and there is a day use area for staging small group events.
Note that the Log Cabin Resort and campground are closed seasonally, generally from the end of September through mid-May. Call 888.717.0733 for details.
