Sand Hollow State Park offers 3 unique options for camping. Visitors can choose to stay at the main campground (Westside), the primary OHV campground (Sand Pit), or select a primitive campsite along the lake’s eastern shores. The primitive camping area may not come with any amenities like hookups or restrooms with flushing toilets and showers, but you can find some nice campsites near the water’s edge. Depending on the amount of campers in the primitive area you may have a great deal of privacy … but you may have neighbors too.

Sand Hollow offers 60 “campsites” within the primitive area. You will find picnic tables and fire rings at select sites, but you are free to camp where you wish.

There are vault toilets in the primitive area, but no other amenities. Primitive campers can use the shower facilities at the other campgrounds. There is also a RV dump station near the Westside Campground area.

Half of the 60 "campsites" are reservable, with the other half being first come, first served. Reservations can be made by visiting reserveamerica.com or calling the park.
