Sitting high in the Cascades at 4,800 feet, Scott Lake Campground is the perfect home base to explore the surrounding wilderness on land or water. The Scott Mountain and Hand Lake trails both start in the campground, and the popular Obsidian Trail is very close as well. The lake is a good spot for canoeing and kayaking as well as fishing and photography. On a clear day the reflection of the mountains is unbeatable!

The 18 tent-only sites are situated around the small lake and have wonderful views of the Three Sisters and the Willamette National Forest. Campsites include fire rings and picnic tables. Some sites have parking close by, while others are walk-in only. Sites 9 through 14 have the best views of the mountains, while all sites have access to the lake and are spaced out enough to not feel overcrowded. There are two vault toilets located in the campground for use by campers and day-use visitors.

Things to note: Mosquitoes are abundant and relentless during July and August. The road to access the campground, Highway 242, is seasonal, so be sure to check road conditions before setting out.
