Pocomoke River State Park Campground is located within the thick forests and cypress swamps located along the Pocomoke River.
The campground has access to all the various activities the park has to offer, such as boat ramps and kayak/canoe launch points, trails through the forest, as well as playgrounds, a swimming pool, and great fishing spots. Small watercraft may also be rented at the main marina.
A majority of the campsites are under a dense canopy, providing a nice amount of shade during the hot summer months. There are several camping loops spread throughout the park's main road. These various loops all offer their own unique environment and give the camper a varied experience within the park. All loops except for F have their own hot water showers as well as flush toilets.
In addition to what the park has to offer, it is only a short drive away from the beaches of Ocean City or the wild ponies of Assateague Island, which are both great day trips when on an extended stay.
