The Lils Lake Loop is a 12.5-mile route through the Diamond Peak Wilderness southeast of Bend, Oregon. The loop begins at the Willamette Pass Trailhead and follows the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) south to Lils Lake. As the trail traverses the Cascade Crest, it passes through open land, forest, lakes, streams, and meadows. As you travel along this route, you will see scenic views of the Diamond Peak Volcano (8,744'), the highest point in Diamond Peak Wilderness. The trail is rated as easy to moderate and is open to hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding (bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted).
The trail starts at Odell Lake / Willamette Trailhead and makes a gentle ascent to Lils Lake. Yoran Lake Trail circles Lils Lake and returns you to the PCT.
