The Columbia River Heritage Trail is a paved walking trail that traces the waterfront of the town of Boardman, passing a few areas of interest.

Accessible by three different parking areas that lie along the path - the Boardman Marina and RV Park downriver, a public parking area near the Port of Morrow Riverfront Center around mid-trail, and at a pebbly beach and public park at the upriver end - trail users can easily adapt this walk to fit their ability level.

The path does not always stick to the waterfront, but instead veers in and around Riverview Cemetery, an 18 hole disc golf course and Sailboard Beach, though in reality, these spaces aren't well marked and really don't stand out, but do offer a little bit of varied landscaping for this trail.

The trailhead at the Marina and RV Park is near a spacious public park area with bathrooms, fish cleaning stations, boat ramp, water and covered picnic areas. The park at the upriver end also has covered picnic benches and seasonal vault toilets.

Though paved, several areas of trail are experiencing major cracking due to tree roots. So while very easy to follow and with minimal hills or slopes of any kind, the ADA accessibility may be more in theory than in reality.

The trail is open during daylight hours. It's more an easy walk than any type of hike, but is a great place to stretch your legs out and be able to stop into a couple of Boardman's restaurants if that's what you're looking for.
