The FLPSDE Dual Chamber Water Bottle. John LaGuardia.

My overall experience with the FLPSDE water bottle was a good one. I put this product to the test on an outdoor photo shoot in the Colorado mountains. It was in use for a few hours, being carried in a backpack, propped against rocks on a mountain trail, and set flat on semi-level surfaces.

The bottle includes two chambers: a removable one for snacks or other small items, and a larger one for hot or cold liquid. I tested stormtrooper white for this review and placed cold water in one chamber and trail mix in the other. The FLPSDE bottle is made of stainless steel, has wide openings for easy loading, and has a smooth, painted surface. It also includes a silicone band around the belly of the outside.

I found the silicone band to be grippy on the outside, but it also moved around a lot during use. Another disadvantage to this bottle is that when setting it down on outdoor surfaces like gravel, rocks, and dirt, it scratched very easily. Both the outer shell and the lids were pretty beat up after a short period of use. At one point during the photo shoot, the bottle tipped over onto a rock from ground level and received a dent on the side.

My recommendation to FLPSDE: On the next iteration of this bottle, incorporate a powder-coated finish for better scratch resistance and overall durability. Get rid of the silicone band and use a combination of the powder-coated surface and the bump-out in the middle as the bottle's gripping surface. Then etch your logo into the powder coating to make it pop.

Overall, I found this bottle concept unique as well as functional. The convenience of having an all-in-one solution out on the trail was nice, and it was somehow satisfying to flip the bottle over and over between water and food. When I returned home with the bottle, it was very easy to take apart and clean. Head on over to FLPSDE and determine if this bottle will go with you on your next adventure.

Hi John! Thanks so much for reviewing our Dual Chamber Water Bottle! Below are a few quick explanations regarding your experience:

- Denting: FLPSDE Dual Chamber Water Bottles are made with 18/8 grade Stainless Steel (which is the same as the other major brands in the industry) and if dropped at the right angle, could dent. A benefit of the design of FLPSDE is that if the Outer portion does dent, in our experience it has only been near the top of the bottle on the curved portion just before the opening. This has only caused cosmetic damage and has not impacted functionality. The differentiation here is that most other stainless steel bottles are prone to denting on the base. Once this happens, functionality can be greatly impeded as the bottle may never be able to stand stably upright again because the base is no longer flat. This will not happen with FLPSDE because the base(s) are the BPA-Free, recyclable plastic caps. These will not dent. They could scratch, but it should not effect functionality.

- Scratching: This is our very first run of our first version of the FLPSDE Dual Chamber Water Bottles. We went with a high grade paint coating on these (similar to other well known Brands). We may go with powder coating as suggested in your review in the future but we will test more as even powder coating is not immune to scratching. We will continue testing and researching on this.

- Grip Slip: This is a known issue on some of the first run Dual Chamber Water Bottles. Yes, it can be quite annoying but not debilitating by any means. Our next run will have this remedied.

- Warranty: In addition to the above, it should be noted that we provide a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects.

Thanks again John!
