The Sequoia-Kings Canyon Wilderness is a 768,222-acre protected area in the Sierra Nevada. This area lies within Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park and is managed by the National Park Service.
This designated Wilderness includes almost everything off the main roads in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. This pristine nature is even more special because it sits adjacent to other stunning Wilderness areas like the John Muir Wilderness and the Golden Trout Wilderness, which together form some of the most stunning and uninterrupted backcountry areas in the world. Here you will find some of the country's largest trees, highest mountains, and deepest canyons. It's got lush meadows, sparkling alpine lakes, rushing rivers, and miles upon miles of trails.
