Located on the western edge of LaPine State Park just off of the Deschutes River, this well-maintained campground is one of very few Central Oregon campgrounds that are open year-round. LaPine State Park Campground is also one of only two public campgrounds in the region with RV hook-ups, the other being Tumalo State Park Campground.
Because it caters to visitors seeking electrical, water, and sewer hook-ups, the campground feels more like an RV park than a rustic and remote campground. Perhaps it is only in contrast to the rest of LaPine State Park, which is natural and untamed, that the campground seems oddly manicured. This ‘manicured’ state is appropriate for handling the large numbers of visitors the park receives, however, and it is a testament to the quality and care the campground receives from its hosts and maintenance staff.
LaPine State Park Campground boasts 82 full hook-up RV sites (electrical, water, and sewer), 47 basic RV sites (electrical and water), five regular cabins that accommodate up to six people, and five deluxe cabins that accommodate up to six people and which have their own bathroom and showers. The campground’s log cabin meeting hall is a unique place to host family events or miscellaneous gatherings. It accommodates up to 25 people and can be reserved by calling 1.800.452.5687.
Note: LaPine State Park Campground is open year-round.
