The campground facilities located within Delaware Seashore State Park offer easy access to the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, a marina, and numerous popular fishing spots along the Indian River Inlet. Located within the park and a short walk from the campground is a full-service restaurant, various camp stores, and toiletry facilities.

The campground, like the state park, is split into a northern and southern portion by the Indian River, which flows out into the Atlantic. The sides are connected by a large walkway/bike path along the Charles W. Cullen Bridge, so driving is not necessary to reach the other side.

To escape from the heat during the warmer months, a short walk (about 150 yards) will place you right on a soft, sandy beach, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, surfing, or sunbathing. If the heat becomes too much, there are multiple pavilions and shaded areas available.

Located within a 40-minute drive of the campground are the beaches of Rehoboth, Ocean City, and Fenwick Island, so it's a perfect base for exploring the Eastern Shore while staying outdoors.

There are over 300 different sites available. However, almost none contain any sort of natural shade, and the sites are slightly cramped. Unless you're using an RV or a van, you'll be without privacy most of the time.
