The Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park is a unique destination in Sedona. The 14-acre park is intended as a place for meditation and spiritual renewal. Although a Buddhist park, anyone is welcome to come and visit.

As you walk the short trail from the parking area you’ll certainly notice the many prayer flags that are strung from the trees. The centerpiece of the park is the 36 foot tall enlightenment stupa structure. It is named after the Buddha Amitabha, known as the Buddha of Limitless Light. Visitors are welcome to enjoy, take photos or join in tradition by walking clockwise around the stupa at least three times.

The park is nestled at the base of prominent Capitol Butte, the fantastic views alone are worth the visit. In addition to the namesake stupa you’ll also find many other traditional Buddhist items around the park including prayer wheels, plates for making an offering, a mahogany statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha that was donated from Bali, and of course an abundance of prayer flags.
