Arashi Beach sits in the best of both worlds, with half the beach fronting a large parking lot with a seaside restaurant offering food and drinks, while the other half fronts a dirt parking shouler and feels far away from the crowds.
The northernmost of Aruba's white sand beaches on the island's west side, Arashi Beach sits along a crescent-shaped cove wtih calm turquoise waters lapping against the sand. The shallow waters are good for children, while turtles have been known to swim near the beach, making it a popular snorkeling spot as well. In fact Arashi is also brought up as being one of the most snorkel friendly beaches on the island.
Arashi feels like two beaches, giving families and those looking for shaded palapas, an easy to access parking lot, and a restaurant nearby one stretch of the beach at the south end, while the north end feels much more wild and less crowded.
Those near the restaurant can rent chairs and umbrellas. For visitors who might want a little bit more quiet and space, heading to the northern portion of the beach, away from the large parking lot, will reduce the number of other people surrounding you. Far fewer people venture onto the shore here, however the white sand is still spacious enough to throw out a towel and sunbathe.
There is no cost to park or visit the beach. The only bathrooms and water at the beach are at the restaurant, who may charge non-customers for use.
