During the winter months, the Fraser Valley Sports Complex offers two short groomed loops for skiers, snowshoers, walkers or any other non-motorized travelers. Combined, the two loops form one big loop just shy of a mile in length. While not the most exciting destination, the path provides a great place for those who are new to snowshoeing or nordic skiing a safe place to learn the sport, and is also a great place for those looking to get some exercise without leaving town.

The pathway loops around the summer baseball and soccer fields. It is groomed and almost completely flat. The wide open space provides great views, including toward Winter Park Ski Resort in the near distance.

As mentioned, there are two small loops. At the halfway point you’ll have the option to take the middle trail and skip the outer loop. Assuming you want to do the full loop, continue straight.

You’ll walk around the outer edge of the sports complex and then past the “IceBox” - an NHL sized skating rink that is well worth checking out while you are here.

The pathway then continues around to where you first began, thus ending the loop.
