Takhlakh Lake Campground is a lovely campground located within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Takhlakh Lake is beautiful, and an absolutely stunning view of Mount Adams is to be had. There is a 1 mile hiking path around the lake, and of course the lake is also perfect for anglers looking to fish for rainbow trout, boaters looking to kayak or canoe, or anyone looking to swim. Additional hiking opportunities abound nearby, including many trails within the Mount Adams Wilderness, which lies just past the southern end of the lake.

The campground offers 53 campsites, including ADA accessible sites, 7 double sites and 10 walk in (tent only) sites. The campsites are quite nice, with many being close to the water. At each site you’ll find a picnic table and fire ring. There are vault toilets throughout the campground. No drinking water is available however.

Reservations are recommended as this is a popular campground that can fill up during the summer. Visit recreation.gov for more info.
