Wayne Bartholomew Family Park is a nice park featuring a small pond that is popular during the summer months and makes a great place to swim, including a nice sandy beach area. The one downside to the park is the required parking fee of $15. Note that Springville residents can pick up a free annual permit and are therefore exempt from the parking fee.

The park features plenty of open grassy areas to recreate or relax, with picnic tables and covered picnic pavilions available. The pavilions may also be reserved in advance for gatherings. Barbecue stands are available at the pavilions.

There are also areas to play volleyball and horseshoes within the park.

Of course the main attraction here is the pond. It is 3 acres long and 15 feet in depth at its deepest point. The near side is a great sandy beach, perfect for soaking in the sun or going for a dip. A short trail leads around the pond, and you’ll also find some fishing docks.

Lastly, there are restrooms and changing rooms, water and even a concession stand that is open during the busy summer season.
