This loop hike is in Wasatch Mountain State Park outside of Interlaken, Utah. The access road to the trailhead is seasonally closed during winter. The trailhead is at the south end of the parking area. Follow the trail for one mile before the switchback begin and trail splits.  The trail on the left is for completing the loop clockwise. After about 2.75 miles from the trailhead, there is a trail that leads to the summit of Phosphate Hill.  Ascending the hill adds about .5 miles onto the loop and offers great views of Interlaken and Midway.

From this junction with the summit trail, the trail begins to descend the back side of Phosphate Hill.  After a little more than one mile, the switchbacks stop and the trail evens out.  After two miles, the trail returns to where the loop begain and it is another mile retracing to the trailhead.
