Henderson Peak is located northeast of Bryce Canyon National Park and has similar sandstone formations below the ridge.  The trailhead parking is located just off Johns Valley rd on Henderson Peak Rd.  There is no official parking lot, only a pulloff area on the right side of the road.  The trail is only marked with a green metal post off the road and can be difficult to see.  The trail starts on the opposite side of the road from the parking area.

Follow the trail through an open field for about 3/4 of a mile.  There is trail erosion taking place and a parallel trial is forming along with several herd paths.  It is helpful to download the tracks to see where to stay left whic is about .5 miles from the trailhead.  Continue until the trail reaches a forest road.  This is Forest Road FR1480.  Turn left onto the road and follow for 1.2 miles.

The route leaves the forest road 2 miles form the trailhead and begins a steep climb to Henderson Ridge.  The ridge is reached in .5 miles.  Turn right and follow the ridge for about 2.5 miles.  There is excellent views to the east and behind the direction travel on the ridge.  At Henderson Point there is communication station with a road.  This is Henderson Point road.

Follow the road down from the ridge.  The trail cuts through road switchbacks at times. At about the 1 mile mark, the trail leaves the road on the right.  Continue for another mile through an open field until the trail meets back with the trail that entered form the trailhead and follow back out.
