Emily Pennington

Hi there! I’m Emily Pennington.
I’m a writer, adventurer, solo traveler, and all-around lover of things that get people out of their comfort zones. These days, I call Los Angeles my home, but you can often find me on high-elevation trails all over Sequoia, Yosemite, and the Eastern Sierra.

When I’m not out trekking, I work as a freelance journalist. I’m proud to have written for Outside, Backpacker Magazine, and Mountain Life Magazine.

I've also been featured in Outside, Backpacker Magazine, The Outbound, Camping for Women, Women Who Explore, Hike It Off, Take Outdoors, and Cloudline, to name a few.
