The thermal features of Yellowstone National Park are amazing and beautiful, but sometimes there might be an urge to just do a simple hike to a beautiful waterfall. If this happens, then Mystic Falls will fill the need.

From the trailhead at the back of Biscuit Basin, the trail follows a lovely creek festooned with wildflowers to some nice views of the falls. After crossing through meadows and forest to reach the Little Firehole River and its rocky canyon, the trail climbs along the river as the sound of the falls builds. The trail ends at a nice viewpoint, but there are a few social trails down to the river’s edge at the bottom of the falls for some other nice perspectives on the falls.
