Pattison State Park

Pattison State Park is located about 12 miles south of Superior, Wisconsin and features Wisconsin's highest waterfall, Big Manitou Falls. Big Manitou Falls is 165 feet in height and the fourth highest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. The 1,476-acre park also features the 31-foot waterfall Little Manitou Falls and a 300-foot swimming beach on Interfalls Lake. The park has 9 miles of hiking trails, some that can be used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There is also nature center at the park that has exhibits about the park's logging history; as well as information about its wildlife and geology

Pattison State Park's campground has 59 regular campsites, 18 of them with electric hookups and three backpack sites. Showers and flush toilets are available during the summer.

Pattison State Park is named for Martin Pattison, an area lumber man and miner. Pattison preserved Big Manitou Falls by purchasing land surrounding the falls in 1917 which prevented a power dam from being built.
