Sweeny Falls is hidden in plain sight. Located along WA Hwy 14 just east of Stevenson, most people will drive right past the 2 turnoffs that provide access to the falls. Be on your toes as you approach, as the falls is located on a sharp s-bend in the road.

A few hundred yards walk will place you at the base of this 67 ft. tall twisting cascade. This falls is best viewed in the spring and winter when the creek is running at its peak. Due to the small size of the drainage, the falls will likely be dry during the summer.

Have no fear if you find the falls too dry for your taste, an abandoned mine shaft provides an excellent mini-adventure to explore. Bring a flashlight and explore your way to both dead ends. It won’t take long.

Stopped on my way home from Wind Mountain, and the falls were flowing! There is also a rope to help up and down a small but steep hill. There were three other cars pulled off the side of the road to check out the falls as well.

This Falls now shows up on Google maps but still not a soul in sight. Nice little stop on your way through to wherever you’re going

Randomly saw this while heading to Wind Mountain, so I took a few pics
