Surrounded by Cascade foothills in the far northern reaches of Washington State, Silver Lake Park is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. From boating and fishing to horse trails and campsites, there are plenty of adventures to be had at this county park.
Much of Silver Lake Park is set aside as a campground. There are multiple camping options at the park, including individual sites, doubles, cabins, a group camp, and a horse camp. Loops 1 and 3 are closest to the lake and best for tent camping, as they do not have hookups. Loops 2 and 4-6 offer 30 amp electrical and water hookups for RVs. A free dump station is located near the park's entrance.
For the full Silver Lake camping experience, rent a cabin. Ranging in price from approximately $80 to $115 per night (see fee schedule on Whatcom County Parks website), cabins 2-6 are best for lakefront views. The Cascade Cabin is situated back in the woods near loop 6 and is a much cheaper option if you're camping on a budget.
Silver Lake Park Campground also caters to large groups and horses. The group camp features 33 partial-hookup sites with 30 amp electrical and water. Set back from the lake, this private camp has fields on two sides and a big picnic shelter in the middle. If you're staying overnight with horses, the horse camp offers 28 partial-hookup sites, two stables, and plenty of trailer parking.
