Hidden from most Seattleites, O.O. Denny Park is one of the gems on Lake Washington's eastern shore. With 46 acres of waterfront property, the park features a large picnic shelter, a playground, countless barbeque stands and picnic tables, restrooms, well-maintained lawn, and Lake Washington swimming with incredible views of distant Mount Rainier.

As the name implies, the land for the park was originally owned by Orion Orvil Denny. Orion was one of the six children of Arthur A. Denny, one of the most well-known of Seattle's original founders.

Note: The park's picnic shelter includes four picnic tables, electrical outlets, and potable water, and it can be reserved by calling 425.587.3398. Visit the City of Kirkland for more information on available dates and pricing.
