Moulton Falls

This collection of deep pools along the East Fork Lewis River is an amazing escape from the summer heat and quite possibly the best swimming hole and cliff jumping spot in the Portland area.  If you can’t make it after work on a weekday, be sure to come early to claim a spot, since Moulton Falls Park fills up quickly on weekends.  If you’d prefer to avoid the crowds, travel 2.7 miles west of Moulton Falls to visit the picturesque Lucia Falls, another series of cascades that tumble through rifts in the basalt riverbed.  Unfortunately, swimming is not allowed at Lucia Falls Park.

Note: Jumping from the high bridge is not permitted.
