Hundreds of thousands of people pass Louis Rasmussen Day Use Park every day on I-5, and very few ever stop to enjoy the gem of a waterfront park in Kalama, Washington.

Located in the Port of Kalama Recreation Area, the narrow 5-acre park most notably features 0.5 miles of sandy shoreline along the Columbia River, a jogging path connecting the park to the Port of Kalama's 222-slip marina and boat launch, seven picnic shelters, a tennis court, two half-court basketball hoops, and two sand volleyball courts. Beyond its terrestrial features, the park and recreation area are popular access points for fishing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing.

Note: For large group events or to reserve any one of the picnic shelters, call the Port of Kalama at 360.673.2325
