Ideally situated on the banks of Icicle Creek, Eightmile Campground is a popular choice for rock climbers exploring the nearby crags and kayakers boating Icicle Creek. At just 8 miles from Leavenworth, the campground is very easily accessible and just a short drive from any supplies. Sites are well shaded by the firs, alders, and maples that also provide spacing and privacy. This is a great location to stage explorations into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Formerly an exclusively first-come, first-served campground, the majority of sites are now available for advanced reservation, as is a group site. Nearby Bridge Creek Campground is very small, but it may be an option if you cannot find spaces here. There are 41 single sites, four double sites, and one group site that can accommodate between 20 and 50 people. All have picnic tables and fire rings, and potable water spigots and vault toilets are well distributed throughout. There are no hookups or dump stations, but sites can accommodate trailers up to 50 feet.

Eightmile Campground is typically open from the beginning of May through the beginning of October.
