East + West Green Lake Beach + Swimming Area

If you're a kid (or even if you're not), Green Lake is north central Seattle's best summer playground. Where else will you find relatively warm, clear water, two sandy beaches, ample lawn to lay out your beach towel, two diving board islands (each featuring a 10-foot high dive), summer concession stands, public restrooms, and even a wading pool for the toddlers?

Note: Full-time lifeguards are present at both the west and east beaches during the summer months from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
