Trailside Bike Park is a great example of the Park City area’s commitment to supporting the sport of mountain biking. It is a free access, well maintained, and constantly improving favorite mountain bike park for Park City visitors and locals.

The park includes a wide range of skill building features that cater to everyone from the very beginner to the much more advanced riders. There are pump tracks, jump lines, small flow trails, and ladder sections in the lower portion of the park. From there, you will see a climbing trail that will take you to the top of the hill in the middle of the park. A platform on top will give you access to three separate trails. The first, and oldest, is an intermediate slopestyle trail called Bronto Jam, easily visible due to the large c-wall in the middle of the trail. A second trail, Mr. Muchrocks, is a beginner to intermediate all-mountain/enduro-style run that packs in rock gardens and smaller ladder features. Finally, the advanced Bamm Bamm Trail will give you larger slopestyle features, including mandatory drops and gaps. Newer riders will definitely want to scope out the features before giving them a go, but more advanced riders should be able to clear them with ease.

All-in-all, with all the possible mountain biking options available in Park City, Trailside Park stands out for it’s easy access, long riding season, and variety in types and difficulty of features available. It’s the kind of place that your children can safely ride in a pump track while you practice your style over doubles, and that alone makes it worth a visit.
