Quail Creek State Park is a lovely area located close to St. George, Utah. The state park is home to Quail Creek Reservoir, a 600 acre body of water. The reservoir is of course the main attraction here and is a perfect place to recreate or relax.
Quail Creek Reservoir was completed in 1985. It provides water and irrigation to the St. George area. The state park was established and opened to the public in 1986.
Fishing is a popular activity at Quail Creek Reservoir. The depth of the lake can reach up to 120 feet deep and holds rainbow trout, bullhead catfish, and crappie. Fish are stocked regularly. Largemouth bass and bluegill can be found in the warmer, upper layers of the reservoir.
The state park offers many amenities. There are day use picnic areas and pavilions available for rent. The park also offers rentals for those looking to get on the water including kayaks, SUPs, jet skis and more.
There is also a campground at the state park. Click here for more information about camping.
The state park is open year round, 7am to 9pm. The current entrance fee is $15 (resident) or $20 (out of state).
