Panorama Point is a spectacular overlook located within Capitol Reef National Park that provides stunning views in all directions. The overlook is located just off the main park road (Highway 24). After securing a parking spot along the paved loop you’ll walk the short distance up to the top of the slickrock hill.

The views from the overlook are simply stunning. Sweeping views of the park’s huge sandstone cliffs contrast beautifully against the mighty Henry Mountains in the background. The gravel road that leads to Sunset Point and Goosenecks Overlook curves beautifully though the foreground. In the opposite direction you’ll see Highway 24 winding its way below more massive sandstone cliffs.

Panorama Point is a great place to watch the sunset, and is also a great place to view the night sky and stargaze.

Although located within the national park, there are no fees required to visit Panorama Point.
