Brooks Nature Park is a small but enjoyable space located at the edge of a quiet residential neighborhood, just a short distance from the attractions of downtown St. George, Utah. The park has been described as an oasis in this otherwise hot and dry desert environment.

Brooks Nature Park is quite small, but hikers can connect with more trails nearby within the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve trail system. The short loop trail found within the park takes you around the small Cox Pond. This was the original water source for the first settlers of this valley and is fed by emergent natural springs. Brooks Nature Park also forms a unique microclimate that supports the growth of unique plants normally not found in this area.

Within Brooks Nature Park you’ll also find a small amphitheater, and a nice shaded picnic area with a few tables.

While perhaps not a primary attraction, Brooks Nature Park is well worth the stop if you are in the area!
