The Streamside Trail is one of several easily accessible trails within the Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area which offers those in Branson, Missouri an opportunity to escape the city and get into the shaded natural trails in the area.

Beginning at an observation deck near the north end of the Conservation Area parking lot, steps descend to a path shared by the Streamside and Glade trails. The Streamside Trail follows a dirt route as it gradually descends through shaded forest toward the low point of the area which makes up the streambed. Along the way, grasses, wildlife and wild flowers may be seen, depending on seasonal conditions.

As several trails are set in this area, it is possible to combine portions of several trails in order to find a distance and difficulty level that suits your mood. Set as a lollipop loop trail, signs mark the trail forks, making navigation pretty easy. There are a few simple interpretive signs along the way, though more detailed signage can be found in the parking lot, which also has views across the wooded valley to the old town area of Branson.

With about 230 feet of total elevation difference between the parking lot and the stream at the low point, the trail is not too difficult, however the dirt path can have tree roots and rocks which offer a small bit of technical walking.

Conservation open hours are daily from 4am-10pm. There is no cost to visit or park inside the Conservation Area.
