Shark Bay is a small beach cove near the Natural Bridge area and Andicuri Beach that is a popular beach for the surfing and bodyboarding crowd.
Reached via a short walk along dirt single track from the Natural Bridge parking area, Shark Cove is small, but tends to receive few visitors. While Shark Bay, like most of Aruba's eastern beaches, tends to get rough and hazardous swells making the waters dangerous for swimming, especially for those not familiar with the beach, locals tend to head to the bay for the breaks further out from shore. Many will enter from the cliffs edge by jumping in and paddling past the waves, which funnel in between the stone cliffs and become extremely rough as they approach the shore.
Those just visiting should opt to stay on the sandy shore, or watch the action from the cliffs on either side.
There are no amenities of any kind located at Shark Bay itself, however the Natural Bridge parking area has concessions and bathrooms. There are no lifeguards on the beach.
While the beach is small, it's incredibly scenic with a wild feel as the turquoise blue waters rush in against the cliffs. It is accessed by walking the first .2 miles of the Blackstone Beach Trail.
