Wyeth Campground, sometimes referred to as River Campground, is located on the banks of the Deschutes River just upstream from Pringle Falls. Wyeth has little more to offer than tables, firepits, and one vault toilet building, though it is near to the equally-primitive Pringle Falls Campground. Wyeth is several miles away from any major trailhead, rafting destination put-in, or any town for that matter. As a result, Wyeth Campground is a very low-traffic area, and you will have plenty of solitude while enjoying great views of the beautiful Deschutes River from all areas of the small campground.
Besides the five campgrounds, there is some day use parking in the area for those who float the Deschutes River. Rafters are required to exit using the boat launch at Wyeth Campground due to the hazardous Pringle Falls just down the river from the campground. However, the boat ramp here is dilapidated and quite small, which will pose its own hazard for any boat trailers on it. Having a spare tire for your trailer would be a wise move if you plan on rafting the Deschutes River and using Wyeth Campground as your end point.
This campground has two great assets, good bank fishing and blessed peace and quiet. If you are looking for any other selling points look for another campground. However its a great place to cast a line and enjoy the solitude.
