If you're looking for a laid back overnight kayak trip... this is the trip for you. It's 24 river miles with a stop at Rogue Farms along the way.
Drop off a vehicle at Riverview Park in Independence, Oregon, which is the take-out. Then head to Bryant Park in Albany, Oregon at river mile 120), to find the put-in. (If you want a shorter trip, start at Bueno Vista County Park, river mile 106.) There is no overnight parking, so you can park a couple of minutes away in town. In summer flows it will take about 5 hours of very relaxed paddling to get to Rogue Farms, which is located on the left side of the river at river mile 102. Look for the sign that says "Chatoe Rogue." There is a private beach you can land on, but there is no overnight camping. This is a great spot for lunch, a tour of the hops farm, and a stop by the tasting room. If you want to take a tour, check their website because they have specific times.
After you've finished at Rogue Farms, paddle another hour to, Judson Rocks (River Mile 100: 44.82311 -123.11524) the only island after Rogue Farms, and a great spot to camp for the night. This is a gravel island with a good beach where you can camp and park your kayaks. You can swim, cook dinner, and camp under the stars. Note that there are no facilities on this island, so remember to pack out what you pack in, and always follow Leave No Trace etiquette. The next morning is an easy paddle to Riverview Park (river mile 96).
