Shellburg Falls Campground offers seven lovely campsites among the towering trees of the Santiam State Forest. Three of these sites are hike-in sites (tent only), while the other four are drive-in sites. There is a large picnic shelter, restrooms, and a hand-pump well—although the water tastes a bit off. There is also a small stream nearby where one could collect (and filter) water.

The campground is open to vehicle access from May through October. The gravel roads leading to the campground can be a bit rough in places, and because of this four-wheel drive is recommended. Although the campground is officially closed in the winter, you can still hike in to enjoy the area and the surrounding trails from the Shellburg Falls Trailhead off Fern Ridge Road. Many miles of hiking and mountain biking trails are located in the Santiam State Forest near the campground. And of course, the namesake Shellburg Falls is a short distance away and well worth the enjoyable hike.
