With a total of 36 large sites, Peninsula Campground is by far Olallie Lake’s largest campground, but like the others in the area, it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.  The Olallie Scenic Area is remote and difficult enough to access, however, that the sites only fill up on the busiest of holidays such as July 4th and Labor Day weekend.  If you do want to camp on one of the coveted and spacious walk-in sites out on the peninsula, you may need to get in early.

Beyond the campsites, the campground features vault toilets, a boat ramp, and a well-crafted fishing platform that is perfect for angling brook and rainbow trout early in the summer season.

Note: Potable water is available for purchase at Olallie Lake Resort. The campground is only open from late June to early October because of snowpack.
