Grande Ronde Campground is a small campground sitting beside Grande Ronde Lake in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
This high-elevation lake is a part of the Anthony Lakes Recreation Area, though geographically lies a short distance away from the other sites of this recreation area.
Lying down a gravel road, upon entering the lake area, the road forks, with the right branch going to Grande Ronde Lake Day Use Area, and the left fork going to the campground. There, a small road with a turnaround at the end passes the 8 camp sites.
Each site has a table and fire pit. There are potable water spigots in the campground and vault toilets. The sites are spread beneath the forest trees, with the lake itself lying a short distance away, visible through the trees. While the lake banks tend to be overgrown with grasses and wild flowers, there are a couple foot paths that lead to the muddy edge of the lake.
Lake access and a small dirt boat launch area are located in the day use area walking distance away.
Camp sites are $10 per night.
The campground is generally open from June to September, with seasonal winter conditions closing the campground and all roads to the site the remainder of the year.
The gravel road to the campground can be rough, and while usually accessible to passenger vehicles if driven carefully, it may be best for cars without high clearance to avoid this road following wet conditions.
