Set on the banks of the Mollala River, Feyrer Park is a great spot for casual group functions or quick and easy fishing or swimming options. There are three main group sites in the day use area: Areas 2 and 3 have enormous capacities, and Area 1 might be more comfortable for a group of less than 75. There is one shelter that can accommodate over 400 people. At each site you will find the standard table and barbeque arrangements, but Feyrer also supplies electricity to its group sites.
Any group reservation can also include the volleyball court or the horseshoe pit, and there is a playground located near the center of the day use area. While most of the group and individual day use sites sit beneath the abundant Douglas fir, cedar, or maple shade, the playground does not, so bring plenty of sunscreen for the kids. The park has a centrally located and fully plumbed bathroom facility.
Plenty of personal picnic sites populate the park as well, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. These are scattered around, but surely the best are located right on the edge of the park, just above the rocky riverbank. Here you get a front row spot on some prime water, complete with your own barbeque.
Usage fees are interesting and include charges for things like reserving in advance, changing your reservation, bouncy houses or any amplified sound system. Users are encouraged to scout the Feyrer Park website for details. The day use park is open year round with extended summer hours, and the Feyrer Park Campground occupies the west side of the park. Boaters will find a launch across Feyrer Park Road just south of the park.
