Nestled between Humbug Point and Hug Point lies a mile long stretch of scenic and protected beach along the northern Oregon coast.  Just off of Highway 101, the beach, cove, and picnic area provide an ideal setting to escape some of the crowds that are likely to be found at nearby Cannon Beach to the north or even Short Sand Beach to the south.

The best time to visit is at low tide when Lion Rock becomes more accessible and the walk to and around Hug Point's vast tide pools is possible.
