Set on the banks of the Metolius River just north of Camp Sherman, Allingham Campground is one of 11 campgrounds sprinkled along the upper stretch of the world-class fly fishing river. The campground is made up of 10 spacious campgrounds with direct access to vault toilets, potable water, and the river itself. Additional provisions such as showers, fire wood, fishing tackle, and a general store can be found in Camp Sherman just a mile to the south.
Should the campground be full, be sure to check some of the other incredible campgrounds along the upper stretch of the Metolius River. From north to south, campgrounds include:
Camp Sherman, 9 sites, potable water, reservable, open year-round
Riverside, 16 sites
Note: Allingham Campground is typically open from May 24 through September 17, but call (541) 338-7869 for specific dates, as they may vary from year to year.
This campground and every other campground on this stretch that is listed are indeed able to be reserved. We went out this last weekend to these campsites based on the information provided they are not able to be reserved. Every campground was reserved and we were lucky to find only one campsite available in the entire stretch of campgrounds listed.
