Frisco Beach Campground along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore offers visitors more privacy than any other campground on the northern Outer Banks. Nestled in the woods, it provides a more authentic camping experience than many other locations while offering the same amenities as other campgrounds in the area.
The campground has 117 campsites for car camping with a two-car and six-person limit for each campsite. No RV hookups are available, although you are welcome to park your RV at any site. There are four buildings with outdoor showers, toilets and potable water across the campground.
The beach can be accessed by two boardwalks located on the the right side of the road as you drive along the main road of the campground. There are campsites close to these boardwalks, but there are also parking spaces so that you can camp further back in the dunes and drive your car down to the beach. Some of the sites high in the dunes have ocean views, which only Frisco Beach Campgrounds can boast of.
You can also access the beach with a four-wheel drive vehicle, as there is an offroad vehicle beach access ramp near the campground entrance. Like many Outer Banks' beaches, this one is wide, sandy, and often not too crowded. Spend your days in the sun and your nights in the woods at Frisco Beach Campground! You might even meet some friendly, local deer.
