The Deep Creek Campground is located just minutes away from the charming town of Bryson City, North Carolina. The campground is also located along one of the most popular creeks in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Just outside of the park entrance you'll find tubing rental spots that offer a perfect escape on a hot summer day and a relaxing way to experience the Smoky Mountains.
The Deep Creek Campground offers both single and group campsites in a clean, lush and beautiful area. Within less than a mile from the campground, you'll find historical spots, hiking trails with waterfalls, horseback riding trails and large picnic spots, including a picnic pavilion available for reservations. The campground offers clean restrooms, drinking water, a camp host and well maintained campsites.
The Deep Creek Loop is located near the campground. It's a gorgeous, easy day hike that includes three Smoky Mountain waterfalls. Just outside of the park entrance and a few miles from the campground, you'll find many places to explore. From the town of Bryson City you can catch a ride on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad through the breathtaking mountains, visit a traditional ice cream parlor called Soda Pops that is filled with Coke memorabilia and delicious desserts. Finished up a day of hiking? Take a tour of the Nantahala Brewing company, try one of their latest brews, or pick up souvenirs in the Loose Moose.
Regardless of how you want to fill your time in Great Smoky National Park, Deep Creek Campground and the area surrounding it has something to offer everyone. Pitch a tent, hang a hammock, dip your feet into Deep Creek, and then go explore!
