Las Vegas Bay Campground is one of several somewhat developed campgrounds inside the Lake Mead National Recreation Area lying a bit off the main path.
The 84 site campground has a variety of camp sites spread over a sizable bluff. Most of the sites have some amount of trees, however only a few have a significant amount of shade. Sites are set on several roads that fan out across the hillside. The more desireable sites - view-wise and shade-wise are those that lie at the far end of the campground from the entrance, with several sites on the hillside plain with unobstructed views over the Lake Mead landscape.
Each site has a picnic table and fire pit with grill. While sites are large enough for mid-size RVs, there are no hookups available inside the campground. Two bathroom buildings serve the campground - each containing flush toilets and sinks, however there are no showers in the campground.
The campground operates on a first-come, first-serve basis only with no reservations available. All campers can self-pay at the info sign and kiosk at the campground's entrance.
Other amenities at the Las Vegas Bay Campground are several walking trails at the campground's far end nearest to the lake, RV dump station, and an amphitheater that sits adjacent to the Bluffs Trail trailhead beside site #72.
