Smoky Mountain Campground is centrally located between City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rock State Park. Rock climbers, boulderers, bikers and hikers use Smokey Mountain for access to spectacular recreation, coupled with with a few creature comforts. Sites are suitable for RVs or two tents and vehicles, and each offers water and electricity. Based on the high, dry setting, sites have limited shade outside of the early morning or evening hours. An RV dump station is available near the entry of the campground.
Two yurts with large front decks are available to house six people each. Yurts are a short 100-yard walk from the designated parking area.
The campground has centrally-located full-service bathrooms and coin-operated showers. Reservations are recommended for weekend stays.
Please note the driving directions. While Smoky Mountain Campground is part of Castle Rock State Park, it's not located within the boundaries of the recreation area.
