Boundary Campground

Sun Valley is well known as a year-round playground for both the jet set and outdoor lovers of more modest means. There is much to do around the town of Ketchum and the Sun Valley resort as well as in the surrounding Sawtooth Mountains. An alternative to paying resort-area prices for accommodations is this tiny but beautiful campground just a 10-minute drive from town.

Boundary Campground may be small, but it offers a lot. There is great hiking nearby, all the services of a world-class resort town, and a peaceful creekside location that feels like it is way up in the mountains. There is lots of space between sites, and several are right on year-round Trail Creek. The camp hosts have been at their post for over 10 years and do a great job of maintaining order. There are no reservations, and this facility can get very popular, so an early arrival is essential.
