One Ali'i Beach Park is the most well-maintained and accessible of the Island of Molokai's beach parks.
Set just over three miles east of the town of Kaunakakai along the Kamehameha Highway, One Ali'i has large grass fields, exposed and covered picnic areas including a rental pavilion, plenty of beach access with views of the islands of Maui and Lanai, and offers camping on the oceanfront lawn.
The park is made up of two adjacent sections. Translating to 'royal sands', One Ali'i gets its name from a royal fishpond, though that pond remains inaccessible today.
The water is shallow and cloudy, so not the best for swimming, however visitors can see the islands of Lanai and Maui across the emerald waters from the sandy shore.
One Ali'i Beach Park is a scenic and spacious outdoor area worth a stop for a picnic lunch from the shops or restaurants of nearby Kaunakakai.
Outdoor showers are available in the bathroom building. The park is open daily from 7am to 10pm.
