The Ohai Loop Trail on Maui's northwest coast is an easy, rolling ramble along a stretch of cliffs overlooking the sea.

At 1.3 miles, the clear single track dirt trail meanders and weaves amongst 'ohai plant and wide views as it circles an area of the Kahakuloa Game Management Area. While sticking mostly to the solid ground amidst the flora, the trail does head over the eroded cliffs of Papanalahoa Point where a couple small benches offer views of the sea. On clear days, the island of Molokai is visible, and seasonally, the elevated vantage point of the cliffs offers views of whales passing by offshore.

Overall, the trail is a relatively easy walk, with a small amount of incline and decline along a very scenic trail. A very short paved path leads from the parking area to a viewpoint. There are no amenities of any kind at the trailhead or along the trail, and with parking large enough for maybe around six vehicles, it's common to see a handful of others also walking the trail.
