The campground at Manatee Springs is a large 80-site campground serving the various swimming, fishing, paddling and picnicking opportunities of Manatee Springs State Park.
Made up of several loop roads on either side of the park entrance road, sites are marked as either set along the Magnolia Loop or the Hickory Loop across the road.
Magnolia is the larger of the two clusters of camp sites, with sites 1 through 60 being located along its two sections (1 through 41 along the larger primary loop road, while 42 through 60 are set further back on smaller roads). The primary loop has access to a large modern central bathroom facility, while sites all water and electrical hookups. Sites 20 and 32 are ADA-friendly with concrete parking slabs and pathways to the bathroom building. Sites 42 through 60 do have slightly more privacy and feel further removed from the bulk of the camping crowd.
Across the road, Hickory Loop is where sites 61 through 80 are located. The central bathroom building here is slightly older. Though the trade off is that this is exactly why more campers head to Magnolia, leaving sites along Hickory Loop feeling like they have more privacy. There is also a short trail from the loop to the main park area and the first magnitude Manatee Spring.
RVs and trailers up to 35 feet in total length can be accommodated. Near the park entrance is also a large reservable group site.
Complete camping information can be found by calling the park at 352.493.6072.
